Florida is a fisherman's paradise, offering everything
from deep sea fishing to flats fly fishing; freshwater and
saltwater and the special in-between called brackish water
that makes up the plentiful estuaries along the coast.
 In addition to the obvious saltwater
fishing of the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean,
Florida also offers lots of freshwater fishing in is many
lakes and rivers. But the perfect mix of fresh and salt
water fishing can be found in the many estuaries along the
coast where brackish water and coastal plants provide
protected hatcheries for fish.
You only need a fishing license if you plan to fish
offshore. And like any area that values nature, Florida
protects its fisheries for the future by setting reasonable
size and catch limits.
